Flying-type Pokémon are mostly Pokémon modeled after birds. Like birds, you can find Flying-type Pokémon everywhere. On the first route of nearly every Pokémon game, you can find the “regional bird” Pokémon, or the Flying-type that predominantly inhabits the game’s region. An interesting fact is that there are only three purely Flying-type Pokémon in the entire Pokédex, and three more that have it as their primary type of two, with the rest all having the Flying-type as a secondary type.
